ALA Garage Sale
Just in time for Spring cleaning! We need your donations of household goods, etc., for the ALA Garage Sale this year. The ALA Garage Sale is a fundraiser for the 2012 ALAartShow.

The Sale will be held at Parkway Place Baptist Church in Little Rock (Beside Kohl's Department Store on Chenal Parkway). To save time, please have your items reasonably pre-priced and ready to sell. We also need volunteers for both days so if you can help, please contact Jenell Richards at jeffnjenellrlnd@sbcglobal.net or Louise Carlisle at louisecarlisle@comcast.net.

Drop off date: Friday, May 11th, from 2:00-5:00 p.m.
Sale date: Saturday, May 12th, from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Arkansas League of Artists Members Spring Show
The Terry House on Rock Street, an Arkansas Art Center Gallery in Little Rock, Arkansas will be hosting the 2012 ALA Members Spring Show. Each ALA member in good standing before April 1st of each year may enter.

The dates for this year's show are:
• Entry by April 16th
• Art drop off on April 30th from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
• Opening reception/awards ceremony on May 6th from 2:00-4:00 p.m.
• Exhibit will end June 10th
• Art pick up on June 11th.

The juror for the show is Greg Thompson of Greg Thompson Gallery www.GregThompsonFineArt.com.

Artist of the Month
League members are encouraged to bring an original work of art to the monthly meetings. The pieces are displayed and the members are invited to vote on the work. Ribbons are awarded to first through fifth place. Each winning piece is displayed for a month at local banks as "The Artist of the Month".

The Winner's Show
The "Artist of the Month" winners are eligible to participate in the Annual Winners' Show. The show usually runs through the month of December.
